The Axco KS20 Melt Unit is a medium duty machine for melting and pumping a variety of hot melts for labeling applications. The melt unit consists of a heated melt tank, a motor-driven, positive displacement gear pump and thermostat temperature control.  The melt unit is all-electric and accepts granular, flake or block forms of hot melt.  Adjustable capillary bulb thermostat controllers maintain temperature of hoses and melt tank. 

Hose temperature adjustments are located on the inside electrical panel of the melt unit.  The tank temperature range is 38-232C (100-450F) adjustable by a thermostat controller mounted directly to the tank base. An internal melt grid transfers heat efficiently from the tank heaters to the hot melt. The melt unit also features an expanded metal screen in the tank bottom to act as a primary filter.  Hot melt adhesive is supplied to the wheel applicator by a rear mounted hose assembly.
